CLAY CAMP

Step into a slow, spacious afternoon in my very own garden and ceramics studio. CLAY CAMP will be this summers intimate gathering space for 10–12 individuals ready and excited to work with clay! We will together, sink our hands into earth, sip tea, and be brought together in a light meditation to ground before creating our beuatiful clay creations.

Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned artist, this workshop is designed to meet you exactly where you are. We will begin with a short opening ceremony to arrive in our bodies and in the space together, followed by light guided instruction in hand-building techniques, while still having time to create your own unique ceramic piece while we enjoy the relaxed rhythm of the garden.

This part 1 series of CLAY CAMP is about weaving together inspiration from the colors, textures and energetics of many of the summer herbs and plants growing around us. We will utilize several different flowers, trees, fruits, and shapes from the garden to create nature-pressed clay pieces for you to take home with you in about 4 weeks time.

All tools, clay, and materials are provided. You’ll leave with your work finished and ready for firing and glazing in the weeks to come along with the memories of a slow summer day spent well with community.
